Victor Leo Cruz

Victor Leo Cruz is a queer, Mexican American writer living in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. He is an educator working for a Dropout Prevention and Recovery program in Pharr, Texas and is currently pursuing his graduate degree in Literature and Cultural Studies from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He works to bring inclusive, culturally relevant literature to students—especially those who have struggled with their education—so they can see themselves in the stories they read.
